Job Summary
Develop and execute transportation strategies to improve service, efficiency, and profitability while leading inbound and outbound logistics, drivers, dispatch, and fleet maintenance. Oversee transportation budgets, freight spend, and fuel usage; negotiate contracts with carriers and partners; and ensure DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and regulatory compliance. Analyze KPIs and data to drive continuous improvement, partnering with Operations, Sales, and Customer Service to support company objectives. Evaluate new technology and systems to enhance performance. Full-time exempt leadership role with a salary of $150,000–$165,000 plus up to 15% annual bonus, including comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management
- Proven success leading large-scale inbound and outbound transportation operations
- Strong experience managing transportation budgets and controlling costs
- Expertise with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation analytics
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Strategic mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
