Job Summary
Lead the newly established Legal Commons as Director, provide administrative leadership and strategic vision for pre-law education, oversee Paralegal Studies and its ABA accreditation compliance, teach a 2/2 load in Paralegal Studies or Legal Studies, coordinate cross-departmental advising and curriculum, develop 3+3 pathways with law schools, build external partnerships with law schools and legal professionals, manage program development, assessment, and adjunct coordination, and collaborate with the Dean and Department Head to align undergraduate pre-law pathways with university priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or terminal degree in related field
- At least five years of relevant professional experience in program administration, legal practice, legal education, paralegal studies, or related areas
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses in Paralegal Studies or Legal Studies
- Ability to work across institutional units and with external constituencies
- Valid TX Driver’s license
