Job Summary
Director of the Center for Public Safety Education and Associate Professor at Cleary University. Lead the Center, provide academic leadership for public safety programs, teach courses in multiple modalities (in person, hybrid, asynchronous), mentor adjunct faculty, contribute to AI integration in pedagogy, support curriculum development and assessment, accreditation readiness, student recruitment and engagement, and pursue funding for initiatives. Requires a master’s degree, 10+ years in public safety, experience with AI in education, and strong collaboration skills. On-site position based in Howell, MI with travel within Michigan and out-of-state; year-round faculty duties with teaching throughout the year.
Required Qualifications
- Earned master’s degree from an institutionally accredited college or university in a relevant discipline. Doctorate or active doctoral enrollment preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience within public safety.
- Knowledge of AI applications in teaching and learning.
- Experience with instructional technologies and learning management systems in multiple delivery modalities.
- Teaching experience in higher education, training, or professional development environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to student success and workforce-ready education.
- Experience with curriculum development, assessment, or accreditation processes.
