Job Summary
Director of the Card Office provides leadership and administrative oversight for the University’s credentialing system, integrating card technologies with campus partners (Housing, Dining, IT) and shaping the future of the credential ecosystem. Responsibilities include ensuring a user-centric experience for students, faculty, staff, and affiliates, promoting customer service and continuous improvement, and maintaining reliable attendance. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor's degree (business, IT, or related field) with 5+ years in a university card office or similar environment, budget management, and proficiency with ID software (Atrium, Transact, CBORD); preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree, NFC/mobile wallet integration, FERPA/HIPAA/PCI-DSS knowledge, and strong leadership and project-management abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in a university card office or related high-volume operations environment
- Demonstrated experience managing professional staff and departmental budgets

- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience managing professional staff and departmental budgets
- Proficiency with enterprise-level ID software (e.g., Atrium, Transact, CBORD)
- Knowledge of FERPA, HIPAA (as it relates to ID data), and PCI-DSS compliance
- Advanced knowledge of NFC technology, mobile wallet integration, and data integrations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead and manage full-time and part-time staff and campus-wide partnerships
