Job Summary
Direct and manage the district’s instructional technology program. Oversee and develop districtwide staff development for using technology in instruction; lead curriculum integration of technology; contribute to short- and long-range plans for technology in instruction. Responsibilities include staff development planning, budgeting and inventory of technology, policy compliance, and supervision of instructional technology personnel. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate, with three years of experience in instructional software and skills in training adult learners, curriculum design, and technology-enabled instruction. Frequent districtwide travel and collaboration with principals and district personnel are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Three years experience working with instructional software
- Knowledge of instructional software applications
- Knowledge of technologies available for use in instructional setting
- Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
- Ability to develop and deliver technology training to adult learners
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
