Job Summary
Director of Talent & Culture is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to support faculty and staff in advancing the College’s educational mission, including talent acquisition and development, total rewards, employee wellness, compliance, HR information systems, and external partner relations. Key duties include leading Collegewide talent strategies, managing performance processes, fostering engagement and wellness, administering compensation and benefits, overseeing investigations and policy development, coordinating IPEDS and CUPA-HR surveys, serving as Title IX Coordinator, maintaining HR technology and data accuracy, onboarding and orientation, supervisor training, managing the student employment program, and partnering with Academic Affairs on renewals. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, at least seven years of HR experience (preferably in higher education/not-for-profit), and preferred SHRM/PHR/SPHR certifications. The role reports to the Executive Vice President & COO and is a full-time position with typical Monday–Friday hours, with potential extended hours and occasional weekends. Location is Notre Dame, IN (on-site). Holy Cross College emphasizes its Catholic identity and mission in its hiring practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
- Minimum seven years of progressive human resources experience, preferably within higher education or not-for-profit settings
- Familiarity with ADP information system preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, and SPHR certification preferred
