Job Summary
Director of Surgical Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the surgical services department, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include departmental planning, regulatory compliance, financial management, scheduling and staffing oversight, quality improvement initiatives, collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nursing staff and other stakeholders, staff recruitment and development, patient experience enhancement, and data-driven performance monitoring to optimize outcomes and efficiency. Collaborates with Supply Chain on instrument and equipment management and participates in strategic planning to expand surgical services within the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required
- Seven (7) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required
