Job Summary
Provide strategic and operational leadership for Surgical Services and Sterile Processing, overseeing the Main Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department. Drive patient safety, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance while managing staffing, workforce planning, and departmental budgets. Partner with physicians to optimize surgical throughput and implement evidence-based practices that improve efficiency and satisfaction. Ensure clinical competencies for staff and monitor operational metrics to achieve organizational goals. Lead a high-volume perioperative unit supporting over 1,000 monthly cases at a Level II Trauma Center with advanced robotic capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Surgical Services leadership experience at the Director level or equivalent high-level management experience
- Minimum 3 years of Surgical Services clinical experience
- Strong background in perioperative operations, quality improvement, budgeting, and staff leadership
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience leading multi-department perioperative operations
- Trauma center experience
- Robotic surgery program experience
