Job Summary
Direct daily and long-range operations across operating rooms, outpatient departments, ambulatory surgery, PACU, infusion services, and central sterile processing. Review surgical schedules, room utilization, and staffing plans to support access, on-time starts, and safe patient flow. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, sterile processing, and ancillary departments to remove barriers and align resources. Manage staffing operations, leader development, and workforce planning while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, infection prevention practices, and organizational policies. Oversee equipment, supplies, facilities, and capital planning to maintain readiness for scheduled and urgent procedures. Monitor key indicators including first-case on-time starts, turnover times, cancellations, and budget performance to drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Current RN licensure in the State of Vermont
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive surgical services, perioperative, or related clinical operations leadership experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of management experience

- CNOR certification
- CSSM certification
- NE-BC certification
- NEA-BC certification
- CPPS certification
- Other relevant perioperative, nursing leadership, quality, or healthcare leadership certification
- Five (5) years of director-level or multi-department leadership experience
- Community hospital surgical services experience
- Demonstrated experience with budget management
