Director of Supply Chain

Job Summary

Lead the full Supply Chain organization across Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, Supply Chain Planning, and Customer Operations. Set and execute strategies to improve customer service, production readiness, material availability, cost, quality, inventory health, and working capital. Oversee supplier selection, RFIs/RFPs, negotiations, purchase order execution, vendor performance, and supply risk mitigation. Guide planning processes including MRP governance, master production planning, capacity alignment, and short- and long-term supply plans. Lead order management, customer communication, fulfillment execution, service issue resolution, and on-time/in-full performance. Serve as an escalation leader for complex supplier, customer, planning, material availability, and fulfillment challenges. Partner with Operations, Quality, Product Development, R&D, Finance, Commercial, Logistics, suppliers, and customers to align priorities. Track and improve key performance indicators such as supplier performance, cost savings, material availability, inventory health, production plan adherence, order accuracy, OTIF, service levels, and customer satisfaction. Coach, develop, and hold accountable supply chain leaders and team members while building a high-performing, analytical, and ownership-driven team. Operate within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacturing environment with controlled facilities, documented processes, and strict quality and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, planning, customer operations, logistics, or related operational leadership roles
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading managers, supervisors, planners, buyers, customer operations professionals, or cross-functional teams
  • Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, RFIs/RFPs, contract negotiation, cost savings, supplier performance, dual sourcing, and risk mitigation
  • Strong command of supply chain planning, MRP, production planning, capacity alignment, inventory management, material availability, and planning analytics
  • Experience with customer operations, order management, fulfillment execution, customer communication, service issue resolution, and OTIF performance
  • Ability to interpret complex operational data, identify root causes, evaluate tradeoffs, and make timely decisions
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, supply chain planning tools, reporting tools, Microsoft Office, and data analysis
  • Some travel may be required, including local supplier, customer, warehouse, or business-related travel and occasional out-of-area travel as business needs require
  • E-Verify to confirm work eligibility in the United States

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience in nutraceutical, food, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, or another regulated manufacturing environment preferred
  • SAP Business ByDesign or similar ERP experience preferred
