Job Summary
Director of Supply Chain leading procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution for a defense contractor. Sets strategy, negotiates terms per UCC and FAR requirements, optimizes sourcing and supplier performance, oversees transportation and warehouse operations, drives inventory planning and forecasting, and leads a cross-functional team. Requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), 10+ years of experience, Costpoint/ERP proficiency, strong analytical skills, and US Citizenship with Secret Clearance. Travel to the North Carolina facility 1-2 weeks per quarter. In-office role with ad-hoc telework.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management in a manufacturing and services environment for a defense contractor
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and industry trends
- Demonstrated success in leading and managing cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems (Costpoint preferred)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to travel to the North Carolina facility 1-2 weeks per quarter
- US Citizenship and Secret Clearance required
- Knowledge of different contract types and FAR/DFAR
