Job Summary
Strategic leadership of the Financial Aid Office at Hudson Valley Community College, directing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations, supervising staff, and acting as Chief Title IV Administrator. Leads initiatives to promote financial access and student success, oversees SUNY Reconnect program implementation and reporting, collaborates with IT on Ellucian Banner processes, manages budgets and audit documentation, and provides training and policy guidance to campus leadership. Requires ability to work evenings/weekends during peak periods and travel as needed; bilingual skills and experience with SUNY systems are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in financial aid
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory and/or leadership role
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience and demonstrated success in student financial aid
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments
