Job Summary
Director of Student Engagement leads orientation and campus-wide events for first-year and transfer students, develops and oversees the Student Leadership Program, recruits and trains student leaders and advisors, collaborates with Admissions, Registrar, and campus partners to promote Welcome Week and New Student Orientations, manages records in the student information system, updates websites, serves as conduct hearing officer, participates in retention initiatives, maintains relationships with community partners, and manages budgets for student life programs; requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), several years of experience with college students, strong leadership, planning, collaboration, and communication skills, and willingness to work evenings/weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred
- Experience in working with college students preferred
- Two to three years of relevant experience required
- Leadership qualities including problem-solving abilities, event-planning skills, collaboration, and friendly, courteous, professional behavior required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to express oneself effectively, both orally and in writing required
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- requires occasional abnormal hours (evenings/weekends)
