Job Summary
Lead the organization as the senior technical and operational authority for structural engineering, building restoration, and forensic investigations. Direct engineering operations, review and approve structural calculations and deliverables, and oversee Phase 1 and Phase 2 Milestone Inspection programs. Manage staff, project workloads, and resource allocation while coordinating contractors and resolving technical issues. Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, and participate in business development and proposal preparation. Maintain strong client relationships with boards, attorneys, and project teams. Requires a Florida PE license, 8–12 years of structural experience, and proficiency with RISA, RAM, and Revit.
Required Qualifications
- Expert knowledge of Florida Building Code (FBC), ASCE, ACI, and AISC standards
- Advanced proficiency with structural analysis and design software including RISA, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, ADAPT, and Revit
- Strong expertise in MasterFormat specification writing
- Excellent technical writing, reporting, and communication skills
- Experience serving as Engineer of Record on complex projects
- Strong understanding of construction administration and restoration project delivery
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 8–12 years of structural engineering experience
- 3+ years of building restoration and/or forensic engineering experience
- Experience with Phase 1 and Phase 2 Milestone Inspections
- Experience leading project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary efforts
