Job Summary
Director of Strategy at Mindgruve leads integrated marketing strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels for key client accounts. Responsible for owning the overall strategic vision, roadmap, and business outcomes; leading cross-functional teams; driving discovery through stakeholder interviews and audience segmentation; creating and delivering strategic presentations to C-suite executives; conducting quarterly reviews and identifying growth opportunities; aligning scoping and resourcing with account leadership; analyzing campaign performance to inform optimization; mentoring the strategy team; owning CRM and CDP strategy, including data modeling, identity resolution, segmentation, activation, and lifecycle programs; developing scalable strategy frameworks and leading new business pitches and RFP responses; presenting strategic narratives to build prospect confidence; creating thought leadership and ensuring cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated marketing solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Advertising, or a related field
- 10-12 years of progressive marketing and strategy experience, with at least 5 years in a senior strategic role
- Agency experience strongly preferred; experience managing complex, multi-channel marketing programs for diverse clients
- Proven track record of developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that deliver measurable business results
- Experience managing client relationships at the executive/C-suite level
- Demonstrated expertise in brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and customer journey mapping
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels including SEO/SEM, paid social, display advertising, email marketing, content marketing, and conversion optimization
- Strong background in market research, consumer insights, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision making
- Demonstrated depth in CRM, marketing automation, and CDP strategy, with hands-on experience building and managing lifecycle programs including segmentation, data modeling, identity resolution, audience activation, and email deliverability
- Experience with platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Adobe, Klaviyo, Segment, and others
- Experience with marketing analytics platforms and the ability to translate data into actionable strategic recommendations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace
- Experience with collaboration tools including Slack, Asana, or similar project management platforms
- Working knowledge of web analytics tools and marketing platforms
- Hands-on proficiency with CRM, marketing automation, and CDP platforms
- Experience with video meeting platforms
