Job Summary
Oversee storage operations across all Lawson warehouse facilities in Northern California and Nevada, developing consistent procedures for equipment receipt, tracking, and release while ensuring safety and space efficiency. Lead the selection and implementation of a Warehouse Management System to standardize inventory data, create management reporting tools, and reduce manual tracking errors. Manage storage invoicing and billing oversight, reviewing monthly charges for accuracy against customer agreements and preventing missed or duplicate invoices. Monitor market rates for various storage types, recommend pricing adjustments to ownership, and support revenue forecasting based on occupancy and customer pipelines. Assist with drafting storage agreements, negotiating terms with customers, and maintaining central records of active contracts and pricing. Serve as the key internal point of contact for storage inquiries, billing disputes, and operational alignment between warehouse staff, accounting, and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse operations, storage management, logistics, transportation, equipment storage, industrial services, or related fields
- Strong understanding of billing, customer agreements, inventory tracking, and operational procedures
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to create structure in a growing business
- Comfortable working with operations teams, accounting teams, customers, legal counsel, and ownership
- Strong attention to detail, especially related to billing, contracts, inventory, and documentation
- Ability to analyze pricing, market rates, revenue trends, occupancy, and profitability
- Strong communication skills and the ability to create clear written procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple facilities or operating across multiple locations
- Experience implementing or managing a WMS, inventory system, ERP, CRM, Smartsheet, Method, or similar platform
- Experience with heavy equipment, industrial machinery, battery storage, rigging, warehousing, or project logistics
