Job Summary
Director of Staff Development oversees planning, implementation, direction and evaluation of the facility’s educational programs for all employees and quality assurance/improvement in the facility. Requires RN or LVN licensure with at least two years of supervisory nursing experience in a long-term care setting. Responsible for coordinating orientation, ongoing in-service training, annual 24-hour education, and required documentation; assists in maintaining policy/procedure documentation; provides training for nursing staff and aides; coordinates infection-control-related education and administrative duties to support resident care and regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- A graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state in which practicing.
