Job Summary
Direct the Special Education program and ensure full integration with instructional departments and state regulations. Guarantee compliance with Special Education Regulations at both State and Federal levels. Lead special education teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, and the MTTS Coordinator while coordinating student support personnel such as school nurses and counselors with building administrators. This 12-month role requires a Master's degree, supervisory certificate, and experience directing special education teams. The Bald Eagle Area School District offers a robust educational program within a community-focused setting near Penn State University and Lock Haven University.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university
- at least 2-3 years Administrative experience
- Special Education Supervisory certificate
- Principal certificate
- 5 years experience in Special Education
- Act 126 (Mandated Reporter) clearance
- Act 34 (PA Criminal History) clearance
- Act 114 (FBI Fingerprint) clearance
- Act 151 (PA Child Abuse) clearance
- Act 168 paperwork
- Current Physical
- Current TB test
