Job Summary
Directs and administers the district-wide Special Education program for the Southeastern Regional School, supervising the SPED department and coordinating with the Director of Guidance to provide comprehensive services; ensures compliance with federal and Massachusetts regulations; coordinates Medicaid and budgeting; develops an annual SPED Program Plan and maintains student records; coordinates assessments (MCAS, SAT) and accommodations; oversees curriculum development for students with disabilities; writes federal/state grants, coordinates professional development and in-service programs, and leads the Parent Advisory Committee while implementing district-wide Special Education initiatives and the Bullying Intervention Plan.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
- Certification by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as an Administrator of Special Education
