Job Summary
Director of Special Education in Raceland-Worthington Independent Schools oversees and coordinates district programs for exceptional children, Title I, Preschool, 504 plans, Homeless services, and CWTP to ensure compliance with federal/state requirements; directs implementation and evaluation of special education programs; prepares KDE and federal reports; manages budgets, testing/placement, and records; liaises with district and external entities; supervises staff and ensures professional development and Medicaid compliance; leads program development and grant activities; ensures confidentiality and adherence to ethics and laws; maintains communications with parents and the public; promotes efficient operation of district special education services.
Required Qualifications
- Kentucky Dept. of Education Professional Certification for Director of Special Education with Masters
- Experience and education combination qualifying for the role
