Job Summary
Coordinate educational programs for students receiving special education services district-wide including oversight of programming and supports. Design and implement professional development for special education and general education staff; collaborate with parent organizations and advisory groups; assist in development and reporting of resources and regulatory compliance. Support site leadership in evaluating and improving special education services, create procedures aligned with state/federal rules, and ensure equity and access for all students. Participate in recruitment, selection, assignment, and retention of qualified staff; assist in budget management; engage new staff through effective induction and ongoing professional development; communicate with stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (CIMP).
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Special Education or related field
- Current Colorado administrator/principal license with preference given to Special Education Director License
- 3 or more years of experience in district-level special education administration
