Job Summary
Director of Software Engineering leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives within JPMorganChase's Asset & Wealth Management Technology team. Serves as a primary decision maker for teams, driving innovation and solution delivery across departments, and delivering technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains. Responsibilities include governance of coding decisions and measures of success (cost of ownership, maintainability, portfolio operations), influencing peer leaders and senior stakeholders, and championing the firm’s culture of diversity and inclusion. Required skills include delivering software platforms to the business, experience in financial services or asset management, leading cross-functional technologist teams, stakeholder management, talent development, and Cloud-native full-stack capabilities (Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, React, Typescript, HTML). Preferred qualifications include client-facing digital platform experience and CFA or Portfolio Analytics/Quants background. Location: Jersey City, NJ, United States.
