Job Summary
Director of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase Card Technology leads a technical area and drives impact across departments, using in-depth software engineering knowledge to steer multiple complex projects and initiatives. You will serve as a primary decision maker for teams, govern coding decisions and measures of success (including cost of ownership and maintainability), deliver scalable technical solutions across businesses and domains, influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders, and champion the firm’s culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
- 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists
- Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
- Practical cloud native experience
- Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
