Job Summary
Director of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase (Consumer and Community Banking). Leads a technology area and drives impact across teams, technologies, and projects; makes decisions influencing resources, budgets, and deployment of processes; ensures governance around coding decisions, cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations; delivers technical solutions scalable across businesses; engages senior stakeholders and champions diversity, inclusion, and respect; requires extensive software engineering background with 10+ years of applied experience and 5+ years leading technologists, plus product ownership experience and cloud-native expertise. Master’s degree preferred. Location: Wilmington, DE, US; full-time, day shift.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience
- 5+ years of experience leading technologists
- Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists
- Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
- Practical cloud native experience
- Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and peer leaders across business product and technology teams
- Experience with Distributed Datastores
- Experience with Big Data / Distributed / cloud technology
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline
