Job Summary
Directs the Social Work Department and Admissions at a premier not-for-profit skilled nursing facility in Rochester. Oversees the admission process from inquiry through placement, manages census and bed utilization, and ensures regulatory and psychosocial documentation is current. Supervises Social Workers, the Admissions Coordinator, and the Admissions/Social Work Assistant; collaborates with Marketing on bed utilization strategies; leads development of the Members' Council and oversees discharge planning. Provides staff training, participates in Quality Management, and contributes to strategic and budget planning. Requires a Bachelor's in Social Work with a minimum of 5 years' relevant gerontological social work experience; LMSW or LCSW preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's in Social Work required
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and one-year recent experience in Gerontological Social Work practice
- Licenses/ Certifications: Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) preferred
