Job Summary
Directs and oversees district secondary education programs and services, including development and implementation of secondary instructional plans, Career and Technical Education, district distance education, guidance and counseling, registrar/transcripts processes, and coordination with site administrators to revise core curricula and ensure program effectiveness; provides leadership for grants management, testing programs integration, and compliance with state/district mandates, with travel to remote locations and in-person duties in Bethel, Alaska.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska Administrative Certificate required
- Three years of classroom teaching experience required
- Valid Alaska Teaching Certificate preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form
- Willingness to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment
- Willingness to travel to remote locations
- Alaska driver’s license
