Job Summary
The Director of Scientific Affairs leads the Scientific Affairs team to develop and execute franchise-specific evidence strategies, align scientific and communication strategies with therapeutic area goals, translate complex data into clear content for diverse audiences, and collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical, Regulatory, R&D, Health Economics, and Marketing. The role emphasizes building relationships with key opinion leaders, managing team resources and budgets, and advancing therapy adoption through strategic leadership and credible scientific messaging. Located in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN or Boston, MA, with travel up to 15% domestically and internationally. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s or Doctorate and experience in cardiac and electrophysiology therapies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Scientific Affairs, Clinical Affairs or a related function
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in people or team management
- Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally
- Proven strategic planning skills and willingness to take calculated risks
- Strong cross-functional leadership and collaborative approach
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent project management and execution skills
- Strong clinical, scientific, and technical acumen; effective presenting to physicians
- Proven ability to build credibility and relationships with KOLs and clinical investigators
