Job Summary
Coordinate a district-wide school safety program by developing policies, conducting facility inspections, and enforcing compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Manage the School Resource Officer program and security personnel while serving as the primary liaison to law enforcement agencies and community partners. Lead the creation of crisis response plans, safety training for staff and students, and annual crime reporting to state authorities. Direct safety planning for athletic events and special occurrences, ensuring proper resource allocation and emergency preparedness. Serve as the central resource for safety concerns and collaborate with administrators, counselors, and external agencies to maintain a secure environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Public or Business Administration, or Education
- minimum of 10 years mid- to senior-level experience working in a related field
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- High degree of professionalism, diplomacy, flexibility, and adaptability
- Strong ability to think strategically
- Strong project management skills
