Job Summary
Director of School Operations leads the Operations team, overseeing HR/talent, facilities, procurement, finance, family engagement, and academic operations. Responsibilities include defining operations systems, resource allocation, recruitment and onboarding, compensation and performance processes, benefits planning, data reporting, budgeting, procurement, and stakeholder collaboration. Requires charter-school operations leadership experience, cross-functional leadership, budget management, compliance knowledge, and a Bachelor's degree with a strong preference for a Master's. The role includes coordinating with the SMT, governance, vendors, and community partners to ensure a high-functioning, compliant school operation environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
- Minimum of three years in charter school operations leadership
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Experience with family engagement programming
- Experience with school financial management
- Knowledge of New York charter school compliance and reporting
- Spanish language skills highly preferred
