Job Summary
Director of Scaled Advising leads Bottom Line's national scaled, virtual advising programs (Bluprint and Get Schooled), setting strategy, quality standards, and the operating model for advising at scale. Oversees a high-performing Scaled Advising team, defines advisor practice and KPIs, ensures technology-enabled, data-informed student support across virtual channels, and partners with cross-functional teams to align with program fidelity and mission. Responsibilities include shaping scalable processes, coordinating user testing, guiding scaled communications, managing blow-by-blow operations from intake to escalation, and representing Bottom Line externally to advisors, students, partners, funders, and executive audiences. The role requires leadership across distributed teams, experience with AI tools in education, familiarity with CRM platforms, and a commitment to serving first-generation, low-income students. Travel up to 20% and reporting to the Managing Director, Program Operations. Start Date: July 2026. Salary range: national $100,000; Chicago $110,000; Boston $118,000; New York $122,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of progressive experience in college access, college success, or comparable youth-serving programs, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated track record leading advising teams in distributed, virtual, or scaled-delivery contexts
- Subject matter expertise across college access, financial aid, college persistence, and/or early-career launch, particularly for first-generation and low-income students
- Experience leveraging technology, behavioral science, and/or AI tools in student-facing programming
- Strong analytical skills; comfort using engagement data, outcome metrics, and student feedback to inform program decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to represent Bottom Line credibly to advisors, students, partners, funders, and executive audiences
- Ability to partner cross-functionally and lead through influence, including with peers in Strategy & Fidelity, Program Operations, and Transformation
- Work authorization required
