Director of Sales

Job Summary
Lead the sales function across Grocery, Farm & Ranch, and National Pet Specialty channels, owning day-to-day account management, forecasting, promotions, and assortment strategies. Develop and implement annual business plans; identify and secure new distribution opportunities; analyze sales performance and build strategic plans using syndicated data and POS trends. Build relationships with broker networks and direct accounts; drive Joint Business Planning (JBP) with key customers; travel to planning meetings and trade shows; contribute to marketing plans and new product development; effectively communicate insights and negotiate with management to achieve sales and profit targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, business or a related field.
- Seven or more years of experience in sales, preferably in a business-to-business environment within pet care or consumer packaged goods industry.
- Proven experience managing and growing national or regional retail accounts within Grocery, Farm & Ranch, and/or National Pet Specialty channels.
- Previous experience effectively leveraging broker partnerships and direct customer relationships.
- Travel to customers and industry trade shows are required.
