Director of Sales & Marketing leads the property’s sales department for hotels with bookings over 300 peak rooms and significant local catering revenue. The role manages reactive and proactive sales efforts, provides day-to-day leadership to sales associates, and is responsible for achieving booking goals and property revenues. It involves developing strategic account plans, coordinating with Area Sales and Group Sales, shaping marketing communications with Regional Marketing Communications, managing the property’s marketing budget for campaigns and collateral, and building long-term, value-based customer relationships to meet sales objectives. The position also requires evaluating market trends, driving occupancy and revenue through competitive analysis, and collaborating with multiple hotel departments to ensure cohesive delivery of services and brand standards. The incumbent leads leadership development, talent planning, and recruitment in alignment with Marriott International’s standards, while delivering exemplary customer service and sustaining strong community and public relations efforts.
