Job Summary
Director of Sales/Marketing Director responsible for direct sales, meeting pre-lease goals and targets, achieving maximum occupancy and total revenue potential of the Community by attracting qualified prospects and converting those prospects into Residents. Responsibilities include management of the department reporting as well as the execution of the marketing plan. Essential functions include outreach and education activities to create referrals, internal and external group presentations, targeted mailings, frequent meetings with potential referrers, coordinating outreach with staff, providing direct sales backup when needed, using a customer-oriented selling approach, possible weekend coverage, and collaboration with the Residency Counselor and Relocation Specialist to develop effective sales/marketing plans. Requires travel to referral sources; proficiency in Microsoft Office; demonstrated ability to identify and develop professional referral sources; strong customer service and PR skills; enthusiasm, teamwork, and a focus on serving seniors. Five years of sales/marketing experience with a proven track record and experience working with seniors are noted; physical requirements include travel up to 30% and possible weekend/holiday work; background checks and potential drug testing may be required.
