Job Summary
Lead the property's Sales department by executing the brand's strategy, managing booking goals for on-property staff, and serving as the primary sales contact for customers, internal teams, and national accounts. Conduct daily sales calls for assigned accounts, evaluate participation across OTA, group, and brand channels, and research competitor strategies to identify growth opportunities for RevPAR and market share. Develop quarterly bonus Key Sales Objectives, coach revenue management leaders, and manage talent acquisition to minimize turnover while maintaining Marriott brand standards and operational compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or equivalent in related field
- A minimum four (4) years of experience in the hotel sales and marketing field
- A minimum four (4) years of supervisory experience in the hotel sales and marketing field
- Capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions
- Knowledge and usage of correct business English and offices practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to interact successfully with internal and external customers
- Computer proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and GMail)
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to develop and implement business strategies
- Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures, and manuals
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in time management
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
