Job Summary

Director of Sales to lead go-to-market for laser displacement and high-precision sensing solutions in industrial automation. Define market strategies, forge OEM and system-integrator partnerships, and drive business development to expand presence in manufacturing, robotics, and industrial automation. Responsible for sales and business development of new products to large-scale commercial orders, shape product positioning and messaging, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to define customer needs and roadmaps. Represent the company at industry conferences and trade shows and secure customer relationships through production. Requires 10+ years in business development, product marketing, or strategic sales within industrial automation or laser displacement tech; deep technical understanding of LiDAR, laser displacement sensors, 3D cameras, line-scanners, and related high-precision measurement tech; proven GTM success; strong cross-functional collaboration and negotiation skills. Background in optics/photonic or semiconductor sensing tech and MBA preferred; located in Mountain View, CA; full-time.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, product marketing, or strategic sales within industrial automation, precision sensing, or laser displacement technology
  • Deep technical understanding of laser displacement sensors, LiDAR, 3D camera, line-scanner, and other high-precision measurement technologies
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies for high-tech industrial products
  • Strong network within industrial automation, factory automation, and high-precision measurement industries
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and product management teams
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Technical degree (Physics, Engineering, or related) with an MBA preferred
