Job Summary
Director of Sales responsible for uncovering, prospecting and selling group and individual business in accordance with the Marketing Plan; monitor and motivate the sales activities and the sales team; ensure that all salespersons' quotas are met; maximize hotel revenue across sales activities, group bookings, and transient demand; lead and develop the Sales department, including recruiting, training, evaluating performance, and coordinating with Marketing; negotiate and secure client accounts, manage key accounts and regional sales strategies, and utilize marketing tools to achieve annual objectives; oversee Sales activity, marketing plans, and reporting, ensuring alignment with hotel goals and profitability; require a 4-year degree and prior DOS or Sales Manager experience in hospitality, with strong leadership, communication, and computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- (4) year college/university degree (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a DOS or Sales Manager in a Hotel or Resort
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the required language(s)
- Working knowledge of computer spreadsheets (Lotus or Excel), word processing (Word or Word Perfect), and PowerPoint
