Job Summary
Director of Sales for a Parsippany Residence Inn hotel leads outside sales efforts to build corporate, group, and leisure client base prior to opening; develops marketing plans and sales budgets; negotiates and closes contracts; trains staff on sales processes; conducts on-site tours; collaborates with hotel departments to deliver guest service; pursues new clients through creative sales approaches; maintains market knowledge and attends trade shows and events.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of sales process
- Ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and hotel guests
- Knowledge of revenue management and ability to forecast business
- Develop and maintain rapport with key community contacts
- Investigate and analyze current activities or information in the sales field and make logical conclusions and recommendations
