Director of Sales and Marketing

Job Summary
Develop and execute the organization's overall commercial strategy while leading Sales, Marketing, Applications Engineering, and Estimating. Build a scalable, high-performing sales organization capable of supporting growth across targeted food industry markets. Identify new business opportunities, establish forecasting and pipeline management, and partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to deliver customized customer solutions. Recruit and coach future commercial leaders while continuously improving sales effectiveness and customer experience. Report directly to the CEO to influence long-term business growth through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Marketing, or related discipline
- 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience
- Demonstrated success leading B2B sales organizations within the food industry
- Experience leading cross-functional commercial organizations that include Sales, Marketing, and technical pre-sales functions
- A proven track record of generating new business and expanding customer relationships within the food industry
- Strong understanding of consultative sales, applications engineering, estimating, pricing, and proposal development
- Proven experience building teams, improving commercial processes, and driving sustainable revenue growth
- Executive presence with exceptional communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Strong business and financial acumen, including forecasting, pricing strategy, margin management, and pipeline development
- Primarily On-Site
- Primarily office-based position
- Travel will vary based on business needs and customer opportunities. Some periods may require little travel, while others may involve travel, approaching 50% as new business opportunities develop, and customer relationships are expanded.
