Job Summary
Director of Sales and Marketing role guiding hotel sales and marketing strategies at Hilton Motif Seattle. Responsible for supervising the sales team, developing new accounts, maintaining existing ones, and implementing strategies to maximize hotel revenue and guest satisfaction. Leads rate/inventory management, collaborates on hotel and franchise marketing plans, builds client relationships for group, transient, and convention business, manages advertising within budget, and attends high-profile events to drive business. Requires overseeing staffing, budgeting, reporting (Sales Call Reports, Market Share Analysis), and alignment with the General Manager to update marketing plans. Minimum four years in hotel sales with leadership experience and a bachelor’s degree; strong CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency; excellent communication, budgeting, forecasting, and relationship-building skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in hotel sales, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of sales strategies, revenue management, and marketing initiatives
- Proven ability to lead and manage a sales team, with experience in hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interaction and team collaboration
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office for managing accounts, reports, and sales performance
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local business leaders, and team members
