Job Summary
Director of Sales and Marketing leads the property’s sales department for hotels with 300+ peak rooms and significant local catering revenue, directing reactive and proactive sales efforts, supervising sales associates, and aligning with regional marketing to drive property revenue. Responsibilities include developing strategic account plans, managing marketing communications activities, evaluating market trends, growing occupancy and RevPAR, coordinating with Area Sales and Group Sales, crafting property-specific campaigns and collateral, and ensuring brand service standards and customer relationships deliver measurable ROI for the owner and Marriott International. Requires overseeing budget, building partnerships with local organizations, leading the sales team to meet booking goals and revenue targets, and maintaining alignment with the brand’s sales and marketing strategy.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.
