Job Summary
Director of Safety will direct and manage all safety objectives and processes across the DMT Trucking division. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day Safety Dept., supervising personnel, communicating with drivers daily for training or intervention, investigating safety-related issues such as accidents and violations, ensuring regular drug screens and insurance-related testing, administrating OSHA/DOT/FMLA and Workers’ Comp compliance, attending unemployment hearings, maintaining personnel files and insurance forms, producing monthly safety/OSHA-related reports, overseeing driver awards and quarterly safety meetings, and conducting reviews of OSHA/MVR/health-insurance data. A transportation background is preferred; safety experience is a plus but not required. Requires High School Diploma or GED and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays. This is a full-time role with benefits as described on the company site.

- Previous Safety related experience
- Must consistently demonstrate company values and have good communication, customer service, and organizational skills
