Job Summary
Director of Safety, Health and Environmental Protection responsible for providing strategic leadership across safety, health, wellbeing and environmental performance at a global level. Lead a central team, define group-wide safety and risk frameworks, advise executives and board on risk and compliance, drive continuous improvements in complex operations, and oversee environmental protection through functional leadership. Role is full-time with hybrid UK arrangements across multiple locations (London, Warrington, Bristol, Devonport, Leicester, Rosyth). Requires senior leadership experience in safety-critical, highly regulated environments, expertise in risk management systems, and a degree or equivalent professional experience; professional membership (IOSH/IRM or equivalent) desirable; security clearance with BPSS and SC eligibility. Also notes trade-control restrictions and nationality considerations for some roles.
