Director of Safety and Risk Management

Job Summary
Oversee the agency's ongoing safety and risk management activities, including supervising contractual security details and managing the fleet program. Develop and maintain policies and procedures that comply with local, state, and federal regulations while conducting routine inspections of buildings, staff residences, vehicles, and treatment cottages. Facilitate safety drills such as evacuations and active shooter scenarios, lead internal workers' compensation investigations, and serve as the liaison to city, county, health, and fire agencies. Prepare quarterly and annual summaries of aggregated findings and develop corrective action plans to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field of study
- Five (5) to seven (7) years experience in safety, risk management or related field
- A minimum of three (3) years leadership, management or supervisory experience
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of regulatory laws and procedures related to general safety and risk management
- Knowledge of environmental safety, life safety code, workers compensation insurance, and general risk assessment
- Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and how to apply them in a residential treatment environment
- Proficient in data analysis, report writing, and information management systems
- Must have the ability to develop and facilitate trainings associated with safety and risk management
- Knowledge of investigation strategies and protocols
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must possess the interpersonal skills to develop strong professional relationships with outside funders, regulatory entities, contractors and staff
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must complete the Diana Screen
