Job Summary
Lead strategic planning and management for Merrimack Rowing, overseeing program operations including budgeting, scheduling, equipment, travel, and fundraising. Recruit and retain student-athletes to build full rosters for the women's program and launch the inaugural men's rowing program. Develop long-term training plans, supervise assistant coaches, and foster a culture of academic achievement and NCAA compliance. Partner with Undergraduate Admission and Enrollment Management to support institutional enrollment goals while cultivating relationships with alumni, donors, and rowing clubs. Plan competition schedules and conduct all practices and training sessions. Work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively for recruiting and competition.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree
- Demonstrated coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate, club, scholastic, or high-performance rowing level
- Proven success in recruiting and roster management
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively for recruiting and competition
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to meet College vehicle operation requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated success achieving enrollment and roster targets
- Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations
- Experience working collaboratively with admissions and enrollment teams
- Fundraising and alumni relations experience
