Director of Rooms

Direct and supervise all direct reports to guarantee consistent, high-level service quality and achieve annual operational goals. Coordinate daily room division operations with F&B, Spa, and Engineering peers while maximizing profitability through revenue pursuit and efficient cost management. Interview directors, managers, and hourly associates; approve evaluations and terminations; and ensure hiring, training, and orientation standards are executed consistently. Monitor accounting policies, payroll, cash management, and inventory controls in conjunction with the Controller. Conduct daily property walk-throughs focusing on cleanliness, service, and organization; oversee MOD reports and engineering projects. Escort guests to rooms, initiate courtesy calls post-check-in, and manage arrivals to address special requests and VIP needs. Represent operations at pre-con and post-con meetings, develop growth plans for direct reports, and oversee hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager.
