Director of Risk Operations

Director of Risk Operations who will own end-to-end operational fraud prevention and risk review across merchant and customer portfolios, lead a six-person Fraud Investigators team, design workflows, and develop capabilities to scale risk operations. Role emphasizes hands-on contributions, process excellence, and active experimentation with AI to improve investigator efficiency and decision quality. Responsibilities include merchant underwriting, merchant fraud reviews, proactive and reactive customer-level fraud reviews, post-funding account-level reviews, and collaboration with Sales, Compliance, Fraud Analytics, Operations, and Product. The position requires 6+ years in fraud/risk and 2+ years of people management, strong documentation and communication skills, ability to work with Excel and SQL, and a commitment to scalable, auditable processes. In-person work required at one of two Virginia offices (Richmond or Arlington); relocation assistance is not available.
