Director of Risk Management

Job Summary
Directs and manages the facility’s risk management program, identifying and evaluating risks related to patient care and service delivery; develops and updates policies and procedures to promote safety and regulatory compliance; leads patient safety initiatives (including root cause analyses and FMEA) and educates departments on risk practices; manages claims and litigation with legal counsel and maintains documentation; develops reports for administration, the Governing Board, and committees on real and potential risk issues; ensures occurrence-reporting systems are reviewed and analyzed for trends and improvement; oversees department budgeting and resource use; performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance. Requires a Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of direct experience, with Master’s preferred; RN licensure and CPHRM preferred; not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required or Seven (7) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree required
- Master's Degree preferred
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure preferred
- CPHRM - Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management preferred
