Job Summary

Implement a robust risk management program throughout the facility by leading investigations, analyzing actual and potential risks, and collaborating with the Legal team to assess liability. Develop and implement infrastructures that support patient safety while promoting a culture of safety through incident reporting and staff training on mitigating risk. Collaborate with facility leadership and all departments to monitor compliance with state, federal laws, and regulatory agencies, including CARF, DEA, Joint Commission, or CMS surveys. Establish and lead a Safety Committee to develop measurable safety initiatives based on facility data, coordinate the Safe Catch Program, and complete Root Cause Analyses for specified events. Serve as a consultant for performance improvement and policy development. Requires a Bachelor's degree with two years of risk management experience; CPHRM preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a clinical healthcare, risk management, business, finance, or a related field
  • Two or more years' experience in a risk management position
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification
  • Experience with CARF, DEA, Joint Commission, or CMS surveys

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in health information management, nursing, or related field
  • One or more years of supervisory experience
  • CPHRM
