Job Summary

Operate and continuously improve the corporate compliance program, including written standards, education, monitoring, auditing, and corrective actions. Ensure ongoing compliance with HRSA Health Center Program requirements and administer the HIPAA privacy program, managing policies, breach assessments, and patient rights requests. Oversee the credentialing and privileging program for licensed personnel, administer the incident reporting system, and conduct internal investigations of compliance concerns. Perform monthly OIG/SAM exclusion screenings, manage the annual compliance training calendar, and coordinate risk management activities including liability matters and insurance renewals. Prepare compliance and risk reports for executive leadership and the Board Audit Committee, and coordinate responses to external audits and regulatory inquiries. Based at the administrative office with regular travel to Gracelight locations; requires a Bachelor's degree and five years of healthcare compliance experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, business, or a related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs
  • At least two (2) years in a management or program-leadership role
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA
  • Working knowledge of HRSA Health Center Program requirements
  • Working knowledge of federal and California healthcare regulations
  • Working knowledge of compliance program structure
  • Working knowledge of credentialing and privileging
  • Working knowledge of incident and grievance management
  • Working knowledge of risk management practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear findings
  • Demonstrated ability to present to executive and board audiences
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse workforce and patient population
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a community health center, FQHC, or safety-net setting
  • Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
  • Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC)
  • Similar credential
  • Experience with compliance, incident reporting, or policy management systems
  • Experience obtained within twelve (12) months of hire
