Job Summary
Monitor admission and readmission charts for weekly weights and review monthly reports for significant weight losses. Audit physician orders, pressure ulcer risk assessments, and fall risk forms to ensure compliance with preventative measures and appropriate follow-up. Evaluate documentation processes for meal and supplement consumption while monitoring workplace health and safety hazards. Rotate call with the Director of Nursing to mentor clinical staff and participate in facility committees covering care plans, infection control, and budget. Assist in identifying service problems, determining staffing needs, and implementing universal precautions and isolation procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in a healthcare discipline
- Two (2) years' experience in supervision of others in a hospital, long term care facility, or other health care institution
- Minimum of one (1) year experience implementing total patient care and care planning
- Minimum of six (6) months' experience in geriatric and/or psychiatric nursing
- Registered nursing (RN) license in the state where the facility is located
- Current CPR Certification
- Current Driver's License of state where facility is located
- Current automobile insurance according to company policy
- Reliable transportation
